Decatur City Church Brand

Directing the design of a brand is no small task, but overseeing its implementation and expression over the long haul is the real feat. Going through the design process for Decatur City Church in 2015 was a huge challenge, especially knowing while we wanted to reflect our community, our long term location was still in flux. Designed in house by Colin Harman, this brand mark saw wide adoption very quickly.

Two years after the brand’s initial rollout a brand audit by a national agency for the top-tier City Schools of Decatur determined that Decatur City Church’s branding was considered a top 3 brand to imitate on the east-side of Atlanta in terms of design, familiarity, and integration into the community.

Through diligence and proactivity we have seen the Decatur City brand mark live on hundreds of cars and even more apparel, swag, and printed pieces. It inspired the design of an entire building and it found its way into hundreds of variations and inspirations for events, campaigns and designs.

Many thanks to Colin Harman, Brooks Hungate, Wes Allen, Brian Manley, and Caitlin Jones for their work on maintaining a cohesive brand implementation.
